Three services, one consistent approach
Each Mistral Quill service is designed for a specific moment in a project's life — the start, the run, and the habit-building that follows. Choose the one that fits where you are now.
← Back to HomeHow we work across all engagements
Every Mistral Quill engagement follows the same underlying approach: we start by understanding the specific situation, not by applying a standard template. The intake conversation is where we ask the questions that determine which service is the right fit and what the work will actually involve.
From there, we agree scope and deliverables in writing before any work begins. During the engagement, we stay close to what is happening — not just what is being reported. At the close, we document what was covered and hand over clean, usable outputs that your team can continue using independently.
Intake Conversation
Understand the situation, confirm fit, and outline the right service.
Scope Agreement
Deliverables, timeline, and terms documented before anything starts.
Active Delivery
Working sessions, check-ins, or workshops — depending on service.
Structured Close-Out
Final handover of outputs and a documented summary of the engagement.
Project Setup Session
A focused engagement to help a team frame a project clearly before work begins. We work with you to define scope, identify milestones, assign roles, and surface the risks that tend to cause problems later. The output is a simple one-page plan that the whole team can read, reference, and update without needing a project background to make sense of it.
What is included
- Initial planning call (up to 60 minutes)
- Working session to build the project frame together
- One-page project brief — scope, milestones, roles, key risks
- Brief review call after brief is shared
Process steps
Intake call: you describe the project and we ask scoping questions
Working session: we build the project frame together with your key people
Draft brief shared for review and adjustment
Final brief delivered and brief walkthrough conducted
Delivery Support Engagement
A multi-week arrangement where we work alongside your team to keep a project moving — light governance, regular check-ins, and practical problem-solving as issues arise. This is particularly useful for companies running an important initiative without a dedicated project lead in house. We adapt to your pace, your tools, and your communication style.
What is included
- Recurring weekly or fortnightly check-ins
- Shared project tracker (in your preferred tool)
- Brief written summary after each check-in
- Issue escalation support between scheduled calls
Process steps
Kick-off call to understand the project status and agree rhythm
Shared tracker set up in your tooling
Regular check-ins with written summaries throughout
Close-out: engagement summary and next-step recommendations
Project Practice Programme
A wider engagement that helps an organisation build sensible, reusable project habits — a shared vocabulary for planning, a set of simple templates, and a concise playbook that captures how projects should be run in your specific context. This is built for growing firms managing more concurrent work than before, where ad-hoc approaches start to break down.
What is included
- Discovery workshops with relevant team members
- Custom template set (scoping, tracking, reporting)
- Concise practice guide tailored to your organisation
- Walkthrough session and implementation Q&A
Process steps
Discovery: understand how your organisation currently runs projects
Workshop series: involve the team in designing the approach
Build and review: templates and guide drafted, reviewed, revised
Handover: walkthrough and Q&A to embed the new approach

How we handle every engagement
Client Confidentiality
Client project details, team discussions, and internal data are never shared, referenced, or used outside the scope of the engagement.
Written Scope Before Work Starts
Every engagement begins with a written scope document. No ambiguity about what is included, what is not, and what happens if something changes.
Responsive Communication
Queries sent during an engagement receive a response within one business day. Urgent issues are flagged sooner where possible.
Knowledge Transfer by Default
All outputs are designed to be owned and used by your team independently after the engagement ends. Nothing is locked behind our continued involvement.
PDPA Compliance
Personal and business data shared with us is handled in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and our own privacy practices.
Structured Close-Out
Every engagement ends with a documented summary of what was done, what was produced, and what the recommended next steps are for your team.
